2017 Ministry at a Glance
2017 has been a great year for The Church at Greer Station. As we look back over the previous year, we are overcome with gratitude for all that God has done here in Greer and across the world.
TCGS has seen much fruit from our three years of ministry in Greer, SC. Over the course of this year, TCGS launched another community group and baptized four believers. Recently, The Church at Greer Station partnered with Resurrection Church to put on an event called Halloween Hoopla. At this event, TCGS and Resurrection Church served their city by running games and giving candy to thousands of local children. When you receive this letter, TCGS will be gearing up for our annual Love Gives event, where TCGS partners with other local churches to provide Christmas gifts for low-income families in Greer. The Church at Greer Station looks forward to more Kingdom ministry in Greer during 2018 as we plan to launch three more community groups and continue reach our community.
The Church at Greer Station also impacted the nations in 2017. In May, a church planter and pastor from India came to visit with us. He works hard to train pastors, disciple Christians, and plant house churches in the midst of religious persecution in India. We are excited to have established a long term relationship and are planning a short-term mission trip to India in 2018. The Church at Greer Station was also excited to send Jacob Ferrell to Turkey during the summer of 2017. Jacob got to work alongside local missionaries and churches for six weeks. He led Bible studies, had fellowship with local Christian men, and witnessed a baptism. Turkey is a Muslim nation, so it is very difficult for Christians to practice their faith there. Jacob was a big encouragement to the missionaries in Turkey and he grew greatly in his faith during the six week trip. As you can see, TCGS has seen the Kingdom of God advance both in Greer and around the world.
