Here in Greer: August 2017
The Church at Greer Station exists to multiply disciples to the glory of God and for the good of Greer. In order to accomplish this, we encourage the members of our body to be actively involved in happenings within Greer. Here is a list of some events going on in Greer during the month of August:
Events at the Greer Farmers Market
The weekly outdoor Farmers Market at the Greer Station Depot will continue to run from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday until Oct. 26. Upcoming events include the second annual Watermelon Fest 2017 on Aug.3, National Farmers Market Week on August 10, and a “Stone Soup” fundraiser on the final day of this year’s market.
Food Truck Rollout: August 4, Greer City Park, 5-8pm
Live Music at Stomping Grounds: August 5 at 7 pm
Open Mic Night at Stomping Grounds: August 11 and 25 from 7-10 pm
Jacob Johnson at The Spinning Jenny: Friday August 11 from 7:30-10 pm. The Jacob Johnson Group will perform with Danielle Howle. Tickets are $8 in advance or $12 at the door.
Greer Children’s Theatre Presents: The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark AND Pirates Past Noon: Aug 11-13, 18-20 Friday & Saturday shows are at 7 pm. Sunday shows are at 2 pm. Admission is FREE, but seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open 45 minutes before showtime.
The Great American Eclipse: Monday August 21 from 12-3 pm at Greer City Park, experience the historical eclipse event. There will be a performance by the Gravity Check Jugglers at 12:10 pm in the amphitheater, before we experience 1 minute and 25 seconds of total darkness.
