Liturgy Recap October 8, 2017

Call to Worship

Song:  How Great Thou Art (Paul Baloche)

From Psalm 13

How long, O LORD?

Will you forget me forever?

How long, O LORD?

Will you hide your face from me?

How long, O LORD?

Must I have sorrow in my heart all the day?

How long, O LORD?

Shall my enemy be exalted over me?

How long, O LORD?

Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble. (Job 14:1)

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more… for the former things have passed away. (Rev 21:4)

Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Song:  May the Peoples Praise You (David Zimmer, Ed Cash, Keith & Kristyn Getty, Stuart Townsend)

Song:  Before the Throne of God Above (Charitie Lees Bancroft & Vicki Cook)

Sermon:  Trevor finished the second chapter of Matthew by reminding us that Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT promises, and the bible is ultimately a story about Him.

Song: How Marvelous (I Stand Amazed) (Passion Band)

Vision Time:  Suzanna Edwards, one of our own, is serving and teaching English in Prague.  Pray for her as she transitions to life in a new place and for the people in darkness that she encounters with the gospel.
