Our Story

David and Trevor’s story begins after connecting over the common vision of church planting during the fall and winter months of 2012-2013.  Prior to connecting with Trevor, David spent time training at North Wake Church in Wake Forest, NC while attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Trevor was part of the pastoral residency program at The Church at Cherrydale in Greenville, SC for two years.  The duo were commissioned to plant by TCC in April of 2014.

During the Spring of 2013, God called the two to plant in historic downtown Greer, known locally as “Greer Station.”  Greer was identified as one of the “top 100 locations of lostness” in South Carolina by research done by a denominational entity.  In addition, the city is projected to grow nearly 50% within the next 15 years.  The need, combined with David’s passion for his hometown and Trevor’s passion for revitalization, made their response to God’s call a tremendous joy.

David longs to see the broken lives and families of Greer discipled and deeply rooted in a loving local church.  Trevor longs to see spiritual revitalization and vibrant church life once again in the downtown area.
