What do our Groups do?

Our groups have two goals: togetherness and Bible application.

Our groups meet once a week in homes across our town for about 2 hours. Each week we catch up, pray together, talk about the Bible, then divide up as men and women to pray more specifically around individual needs. Our groups are more than a Bible study. We aim for more than transfer of information; we aim for transformation that comes from allowing the Bible to speak to every area of our lives.

Each of our groups provide childcare during group time. We also have once-a-month fun nights where we eat, play games, etc.

Why do we do groups?

Three reasons:

  1. The gospel opens our hands and our homes. Being in one another’s homes is a non-negotiable aspect of living in community.

  2. God transforms by His Spirit through His word. The Bible is where Jesus makes himself known to us and teaches us how to walk in obedience.

  3. Discipleship happens in relationships. A key component of growing into Christ-likeness is brothers and sisters speaking truth into our lives.
