Why do we do groups?

Ridgewood Community Groups exist to see people personally transformed into more mature disciples and to foster relationships that bear one anotherʼs burdens. We believe the Holy Spirit uses Scripture + community + time to bring about personal transformation. Community Groups help us achieve these goals most effectively.

What do our Groups do?

Our groups are focused on studying Scripture as we build relationships with one another. Scripture is where Jesus makes himself known to us and teaches us how to walk in obedience. We believe that Christ uses brothers and sisters speaking truth into our lives as a key component of growing us in obedience to Him.

Therefore, we have our groups meet once a week in homes across our town for about 2 hours. We start the time by praying together and discussing Scripture. Then, our groups conclude with the men and women dividing up to pray more specifically about what the Lord is doing in our lives and teaching us in the Scriptures. We aim for more than transfer of information; we desire for transformation that comes from allowing the Bible to speak into every area of our lives.
